Set up 2-Factor Authentication (Mandatory)

Set up 2FA for your iZooto Account either using Email OTP or an Authenticator App!

Two-factor authentication provides an additional layer to ensure only you can access your iZooto account.

In addition to your email address and password, Two-Factor Authentication requires you to either get an OTP on your registered email address or install an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator on your mobile device. When you log in to iZooto, you will be prompted for a verification code (either sent to your email or generated by the authenticator app) to access your iZooto account.

Steps to Enable 2FA

After logging into your iZooto account, you will be prompted to establish two-factor authentication (2FA) using two methods: either through OTP sent to the registered email or scanning a QR code.

Via Email OTP

If you choose OTP via email, a code will be sent to the email address you used to log in. After entering this OTP, you will be redirected to your account. The code sent to your email is valid for 5 minutes only.

Via QR Code (Authenticator App)

If you opt for the QR code method, you must scan the QR code displayed on the iZooto screen using an authenticator app of your choice. We recommend using Google Authenticator, but any authenticator app that supports a Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) mechanism, including Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, etc. can be used to set up Two-Factor Authentication on iZooto.

Note

  • If you've already set up 2FA for your account, nothing changes for you.
  • If you reset your account password, your previous 2FA settings will remain effective. For instance, if you were using Email OTP before resetting your password, Email OTP will continue to work. Similarly, if you were using the Google Authenticator app, the Google Authentication code will remain valid.
